Fade is about Alzheimer's Disease. Alzheimer's is a neurodegenerative
disease characterized by progressive cognitive deterioration together with
declining activities of daily living and neuropsychiatric symptoms or
behavioral changes. Someone I love very much has Alzheimer's. And, she
is slipping away... layer after layer, her pesonality is stripped, her
memories taken back as if they had never been given to her.

Sometimes, the person she is is just a fraction of who she was, and she
seems, to all the world, to be naked. At other times, she seems barely
connected to our world, and closer to some other place that we can't see...
but which she can. And,the closer she gets to that world... the world
of great interest and comfort to her, the more in our world, she begins
to fade.
